Office and retail buildings along Wisconsin Avenue in Chevy Chase, Maryland

Chevy Chase gathers differently from anywhere else in the Washington region. This is a residential community of tree-lined streets, large homes, and small incorporated villages just across Western Avenue from the District, and its social calendar runs through two historic private clubs, a landmark rental clubhouse, and private estates. When Chevy Chase hosts, the guest list is senior: executives, officials, foundation leaders, and families who have held these events for generations. Production has to be polished, discreet, and exact.

The settings set the standard. A ballroom wedding at Chevy Chase Club, where events have been held since the club was founded in 1892. A fundraiser on the grounds of Columbia Country Club, home of the 1921 U.S. Open. A garden reception at The Woman's Club of Chevy Chase on Connecticut Avenue. A tented evening at a private home in Chevy Chase Village or the Town of Chevy Chase. Each setting runs on its own rules, and most of them are not written down for outsiders.

We produce corporate and social events across Chevy Chase end to end: planning and management, technical production, show execution, and event creative. Galas, weddings, board dinners, fundraisers, and retreats, run by one local team from the first site visit to the final load-out. Our home base is in Washington, DC, minutes away, so our crews and vendor relationships are already here.

Local Knowledge

The market, from people who work it

Chevy Chase's event map starts with the private clubs, and the clubs start with sponsorship. At Chevy Chase Club on Connecticut Avenue, events must be hosted or sponsored by a current member. That single fact shapes everything: who can book the Ballroom, the Club Room, the Drawing Room, and the Hunt Room, how the date is secured, and how the club's catering team partners with outside production. Weddings there run to as many as 400 guests, and members and sponsored guests can use the 18 rooms at The Bradley House on site. We work directly with the club, plan load-ins inside the windows it allows, and produce within its rules on dress, vendor access, and setup.

Columbia Country Club, at Connecticut Avenue and East-West Highway, is a separate private, member-owned club with its own traditions. Its golf course opened in 1911 and hosted the 1921 U.S. Open, and its clubhouse hosts private member events, weddings, and banquets across multiple party rooms next door to the Howard Hughes Medical Institute campus. The same discipline applies: the member relationship comes first, the club sets the terms, and production plans around both.

For events without a club sponsor, The Woman's Club of Chevy Chase is the market's rental option inside Chevy Chase itself. The historic clubhouse on Connecticut Avenue, established in 1913, seats 250 guests, allows outside catering, and pairs an auditorium and side rooms with a garden that suits ceremonies and receptions. Private homes carry the rest of the calendar: tented fundraisers, garden weddings, and estate socials across Chevy Chase Village, the Town of Chevy Chase, and the surrounding sections.

Logistics here are residential. Montgomery County's noise ordinance sets quiet hours from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekdays and 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. on weekends and holidays, which puts a hard edge on amplified outdoor sound. Chevy Chase is also a patchwork of small municipalities, so permit, parking, and tenting rules can change from one street to the next. Wisconsin Avenue and Connecticut Avenue traffic shapes truck routing and crew calls, while Friendship Heights Metro on the Red Line gives guests and crew a reliable way in. We build all of it into the production plan early, so the evening feels effortless even when the rules are not.

Why Simple

Most production companies meet Chevy Chase on the day of the event. We are based in Washington, DC, minutes away across Western Avenue, and we work in this community's clubs, clubhouses, and private homes as a regular part of our calendar. Our crews, rental relationships, and venue contacts here are working relationships, not first introductions.

That local base matters in a market built on membership and trust. We know that a Chevy Chase Club date starts with a sponsoring member, how a Columbia Country Club banquet runs on club terms, when The Woman's Club allows load-in, and what a garden event in Chevy Chase Village owes its neighbors under the county noise ordinance. We also know how to be discreet. Many events here are private, unlisted, and photographed only for the family or the organization. Our teams work that way by default.

And because events, video, and marketing live under one roof at Simple, your gala's stage design, event film, sizzle reel, and social cuts come from the same team with the same understanding of your goals. No handoffs, no translation loss.

We deliver what we say we will. We treat your budget, timeline, brand, and reputation with care. As we get to know your organization, we become the partner you call first.

Frequently asked questions

Can you produce our event at Chevy Chase Club if we are not members?

Club events there must be hosted or sponsored by a current member, and that sponsorship shapes the booking from the start. If you have a sponsor, we work directly with the club's events and catering team, plan load-ins inside the windows the club allows, and produce within its rules on dress, vendor access, and setup. Without a sponsor, we will help you evaluate the other Chevy Chase settings on this page.

What Chevy Chase venues work for an event without a club membership?

The Woman's Club of Chevy Chase on Connecticut Avenue is the main rental venue in Chevy Chase itself, seating 250 guests with outside catering permitted. Private homes and estates host tented events across the villages, and The Collection at Chevy Chase offers its tiered plaza for community events and retail activations. For hotel space, the Embassy Suites at Chevy Chase Pavilion sits nearby on the DC side of Friendship Heights, with larger conference hotels nearby in Bethesda.

Do you produce weddings and social events, or only corporate events?

Both. Chevy Chase's calendar is heavily social: club weddings, rehearsal dinners, bar and bat mitzvahs, milestone birthdays, and charity galas sit alongside board dinners, corporate retreats, and fundraisers. The production discipline is the same, and the same team can carry your event film and photography direction alongside the live evening.

What rules apply to outdoor and estate events in Chevy Chase?

Montgomery County's noise ordinance sets quiet hours from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekdays and 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. on weekends and holidays, limiting amplified sound at neighboring property lines. On top of that, each small municipality in Chevy Chase has its own rules on permits, parking, and tenting. We confirm the rules for your specific property early and design sound, scheduling, valet, and load-out around them.

Where do out-of-town guests stay for a Chevy Chase event?

There are no large hotels in Chevy Chase itself. Members and sponsored guests at Chevy Chase Club can use The Bradley House on site, reserved through the member. Larger room blocks usually go to the Embassy Suites at Chevy Chase Pavilion nearby in Friendship Heights, directly at the Red Line station, or to hotels nearby in Bethesda. We coordinate the room block and guest transport plan as part of production.

How far in advance should we book event production in Chevy Chase?

For peak season at the private clubs, nine to twelve months out gives you the best dates and vendor options, and sponsorship should be confirmed before anything else. Weddings and galas at The Woman's Club and at private estates usually plan six to twelve months ahead. That said, we regularly produce on tighter timelines. Tell us your date and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
